Festival Internationals 2022

Picture this: Festival International 2022 in the heart of downtown Lafayette, home of the Ragin’ Cajuns. We’ve endured two years of Covid restrictions and quarantine isolation. Finally, Festival is back in action, meaning - you guessed it - there were Pour Decisions to be made.

Our first stop was the ticket booth as we loaded up our wristbands with some credits. It was time to explore our food and drink options. We made a stop at Legends to say hello to a few friends, including Pour Decisions collaborator DJ RayTrilla, who was setting up for the night’s event.

We started with a Legend’s margarita, and - trust me on this - when you try it you’ll understand how they can maintain nine wildly popular locations. The bartenders were welcoming and friendly, showing up with the kind of Southern hospitality that you’re bound to run across anywhere in Louisiana, but particularly in Lafayette.

After that, we started off on our quest for the most searched out Festival treat, a cream-based crawfish-and-spinach dip served in a bread bowl that would later serve as the inspiration for one of the most talked about festival foods. If you’re going to make Pour Decisions all night, you have to carb up with something delicious, am I right?

As you stroll down the street at Festival, the vendors are serving up rich food that makes you want to try everything. While we were walking down the street and scoping out the food, of course we ran into Mr. Lafayette himself, John Williams. Before we knew it, we were all taking shots with him at Jefferson Street Pub, where John introduced us to a few of his colleagues. Not only that, but he took us to visit a hidden gem: G Tavern, a sophisticated, tucked away kind of bar. G Tavern has a glamorous atmosphere that makes you think of intimate first dates, the sort of night where you want some privacy and not to be seen by everyone you know. Highly recommend.

After some Pour Decisions with John, we grabbed Festival’s own jungle juice concoction, followed by a line of tequila shots. While we waited for some new friends to arrive, we introduced our brand to a stranger, who quickly became a fan and signed up for our newsletter on pourdecisions.store. Always working and making connections, even when we party!

As the shots and beers kept flowing, we visited the many stages along the way, making it to our main destination, our boy DJ Ray Trilla at the Legends Patio. You could feel the energy as you walked in - people were dancing and singing along to every song. If you’ve seen the Mardi Gras video guy dancing with my D.ck…yeah. That shit went viral.

Anyway, what we saw and felt at this party is beyond anything I can put into words. The mix of people from different backgrounds dancing and having an amazing time, making Pour Decisions - Dj Raytrilla set the vibe for the entire night. Needless to say, I woke up this morning with my phone in the car, no alarm clock, getting ready to go to work and piece my life back together. As we always say, Let’s Make Pour Decisions (#LMPD). Let’s keep building this brand and networking together…and let’s have fun doing it!
